Crown & Bridges

Dental Crown & Bridges

Teeth are very precious and need to be cared for at all times. A set of perfect white teeth can beautify your smile, give you confidence, and allow you to eat what you desire. At some point in time, if you chip or break or lose a tooth, then you can restore your smile and tooth with Crowns or Bridges.

DENTAL CROWNS

A crown is a protective covering around the damaged portion of a tooth and it’s used to help protect the damaged tooth from further decay. Crowns are made of various materials, including resin, ceramic metal or a mix of metal and porcelain. Crowns are also known as caps.

Once the tooth shaped crown is fitted over your teeth, our dentist will cement the crown. After which, your tooth will look as good as new!

Other reasons why dentists suggest crowning your teeth are :

  • Discoloured teeth
  • Improving the appearance of your teeth
  • Weak teeth
  • Teeth that have had root canal treatment
  • Heavily restored teeth due to cavities
  • Come in for a dental checkup if you’re experiencing any discomfort!

DENTAL BRIDGE

Bridges on the other hand are a little different from crowns. While they also protect teeth, they are used in cases where one or more teeth are missing. There are various types of bridges available, and at our clinic we will suggest the one that is best for you after a thorough examination of your dental health.

Type of Dental Bridges

  • Traditional Bridge
  • Cantilever Bridge
  • Maryland Bonded Bridge
  • Ask our dentist which type of Bridge will suit your purpose!
